Scope of Practice

As a qualified naturopath, I provide evidence-based healthcare using herbal medicine, nutritional therapy, and lifestyle modifications. Naturopaths don’t replace medical advice, provide medical treatment or diagnose. For serious medical conditions or emergencies, please seek medical advice from your general practitioner or emergency services.

Consultations

Online consultations are conducted via Cliniko and they don’t require any prior software download. A secure link will be provided via email. Clients are encouraged to participate from a quiet, private environment, free from distractions.

Booking Process

Upon booking a consultation, clients will receive an Initial Intake Form, which must be completed accurately and truthfully. By submitting this form, clients provide informed consent and agree to the Privacy Policy and these Terms and Conditions.

Payment

To secure your booking, a deposit of 50% of the consultation fee is requested. The balance will be settled following the consultation. All transactions are processed securely via Stripe, accepting Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and mobile wallets. I do not retain client banking details.

Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy

I understand that unforeseen scheduling conflicts may arise, so to accommodate other clients, please provide as much notice as you can for cancellations or rescheduling.

Cancellations or rescheduling within 24 hours of the appointment will incur a fee equivalent to 100% of the consultation price. Cancellations or rescheduling between 24 and 48 hours of the appointment will incur a fee equivalent to 50% of the consultation price. In extenuating circumstances, exceptions to this policy may be considered.

Cancellation with 48 hours' notice ensures a full deposit return.

Health Information Policy

To provide optimal care, I maintain secure records of client health histories and treatment plans within my client management software. These records are retained for a minimum of seven years, as legally required. Clients may request access to their health records in writing. Client consent will be obtained prior to sharing health information with other healthcare providers.

Prescriptions and Adverse Reactions

If you experience any adverse reactions to herbal medicine, supplements or dietary advice that I have prescribed, please discontinue use immediately and contact me. In emergency situations, please contact emergency services. Please adhere to the recommended dosage, directions and timings of the prescriptions, and if you have any changes in your situation or health status (i.e. new diagnosis, pregnancy or lactation and/or medication adjustments) please advise immediately as treatment may need to be adjusted.

Referrals

I can provide referrals to other practitioners when clinically appropriate. I may engage in collaborative consultations with specialists and mentors, wherein client cases are discussed with the utmost discretion and adherence to strict confidentiality protocols.

Recording Consultations

Consultations are not recorded by me, except when or if legally required. Clients are not permitted to record consultations without prior written consent. Recordings are permitted for personal use only and may not be distributed or shared.

The Privacy Policy is incorporated into these Terms and Conditions.
